Cross-disciplinary Graduate Centers
For more than a decade, UMR and JLU have been at the forefront of institutional initiatives to provide university-wide support for early career researchers. At UMR, the Marburg University Research Academy (MARA), a university-wide institution also open to JLU members, provides a variety of education programs, funding opportunities, and advisory services for PhD students and postdocs addressing the needs of early career researchers from all disciplines. At JLU, the International Giessen Graduate School for the Life Sciences (GGL) was established as a graduate center for doctoral candidates from all life science disciplines including psychology.
