Research interests
The main research interest is bridging the gap between molecular toxic stress research and psychotherapy research, investigating the effects of stress and mental diseases on biological homeostasis. With my team, we showed that stress induces central and peripheral neuroplasticity with deleterious effects on inflammation and oxidative stress. We established a novel method to study key stress mediators such as Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) in hair.
