Research interests

Development and evaluation of outpatient and inpatient psychotherapy concepts (in particular the Cognitive Behavioral Analysis System of Psychotherapy and Interpersonal Psychotherapy) for patients who do not respond to traditional evidence-based treatments (e.g. early-traumatised, treatment-resistant patients) and for specific underserved subgroups (e.g. old patients, refugees).

The main disorder focus are the affective disorders, especially the persistent depressive disorder. Other research projects address the negative effects of psychotherapy, brain stimulation procedures and neurourbanism.

The research serves the goal of developing and evaluating a personalized evidence-based psychotherapy approach.
