Research interests

Our group is particularly interested in studying the psychobiological foundations of the human personality. Here, different approaches from the areas of endocrinology (for example hormone influences), psychophysiology (for example evoked potentials, EEG) and those from molecular genetics (candidate gene approach) are of particular interest. All parameters are determined in our own lab and are the subject of numerous cooperation. Also central to this are questions of interindividual variability and/or responsiveness (for example, to stressors or drugs, etc.) and the identification of risk- or plasticity- genes in the context of gene x environment interaction.
