Research interests

Our research focuses on the concepts of motor control and learning across the life span. Specifically, we are interested in cognitive motor processes including action observation and motor imagery. We investigate these topics by applying behavioral (e.g., eye tracking and motion tracking) and magnetic resonance imaging methods. Current projects investigate, among others, the question of how emotions can be recognized during action observation, how anticipation processes develop within action-perception coupling, and how movement parameters can be decoded from neural representations
