Research interests

Etiology and development of mental disorders in children and adolescents, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorders (ADHD), suicidal behavior in adolescence, child and adolescent psychiatry in preschool ages, risk children studies, longitudinal studies, multicenter studies, gene environment interaction.

Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Applicant of different current multicenter studies (eg. ESCAlife, ProHEAD) in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy. Member of the German Network Anorexia-Register.

Coordinator of the German Guidelines for Suicidal Behavior in Children and Adolescents as well as the German Guideline for Non-Suicidal Self-Injuries, participation on German ADHD-Guidelines
