Research interests

Our research focuses on ion channels (i) concerning their molecular composition (ii) functional interactions with regulatory subunits and (iii) the identification of drug binding sites. Another important focus of our research is the identification of novel arrhythmia genes and the analysis of the disease causing mechanism. We are also interested in the understanding of Parkinson syndromes, utilizing patch clamp measurements in tissue slices of the Locus coeruleus and the Substantia Nigra.
