Research interests

I am interested in eye movements and their neural correlates during self-motion in natural environments, particularly in the visual perceptual stability of our perception. I also investigate the utility of eye movements as biomarkers for neuropsychiatric disorders. To this end, I develop artificial neural networks for classification based on large datasets. Finally, I am deeply involved in translating basic scientific findings—both my own and those of project partners—into practical medical devices. To this end, I design, develop, and test electronic measurement and control systems, ensuring that regulatory requirements within the framework of the conformity assessment procedure are met.
